According to recent reporting, a new desserts chain is moving into town.

Run by franchisee Michelle Clip, Cookie Fix will soon be found at 2020 Hendricks Ave–the first Jacksonville location of the Alabama-based cookie company Cookie Fix.

The JDR states that Michelle Clipp, “a 35-year-old married Jacksonville mother of two children under the age of 3, developed a taste for entrepreneurship.”

“After 13 years in health care sales leadership that required travel and with a desire to work more closely with her San Marco neighborhood, Clipp is venturing into the first Florida franchise for an Alabama-based cookie company.”

That is Cookie Fix, founded in Birmingham in 2016, now has two corporate stores in its home state and one in Atlanta. There are six franchised locations throughout the South in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee, making Clip a key early figure in the company’s expansion story.
