According to recent public records, a noted hospitality group will soon take on their latest venture.

The Pearl Hospitality Group, the group behind incoming upscale Japanese restaurant Norikawa, reportedly “aims to bring the city Michelin-level dining” with their newest project.

The JBJ reports that The Pearl Hospitality Group has budgeted $2 million toward building out the new restaurant “as part of the city’s long-awaited One Riverside mixed-use business district”, citing operating partner Justin Raulerson.

Local and statewide readers may recognize the Pearl Group from their operations of establishments in Jacksonville, Tampa and Orlando and for the fact that two of the group’s partners include noted brothers Jimmy Tung and Johnny Tung.

No specific details have been provided for the menu as of now. However, Raulerson told the Business Journal Norikawa would feature two experiences: a tasting menu upstairs and a la carte dining experience downstairs.

“Our goal is to bring a Michelin-level dining experience to Jacksonville,” he said.

The fine dining spot aims to open in late 2026, according to Raulerson.
