Silverado Ranch Plaza, a shopping mall located on the southeastern corner of the E Silverado Ranch Blvd-S Eastern Ave intersection, will soon be home to Italio, a new restaurant serving up “a creative blend of Italian and Argentinian cuisines.”

“It’s a flare on Italian classics with the addition of Chef Izzy’s intuition, from the type of food he’s learned in his previous endeavors,” owner Luis DeSantos told What Now Las Vegas, confirming the news in a Thursday morning phone call.

One example of the menu’s modern Italian fare is one of the chef’s specialties, a prime skirt steak served over pasta with a creamy chimichurri sauce.

“When I first saw it, I thought, ‘Is that pesto?’” DeSantos said. “It’s a perfect example of that Italian base with Argentinian flare.”

Italio will open in a space at 9821 S Eastern Ave, shared in partnership with Molly’s Tavern, which offers drinks, coffee, gaming, and a large menu of bar food in a comfortable tavern atmosphere.

Silverado Ranch Plaza is a retail center that houses big-box stores like Target, Marshall’s, and PetSmart. It’s also home to Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, Peg’s Glorified Ham n Eggs, and Trattoria Italia.
