Egg Works, a longtime breakfast and brunch spot in Las Vegas, will permanently close its outlet on South Rainbow Boulevard. The restaurant’s final day of service will be Sunday, March 29. The brand’s six other locations will remain open.

Egg Works to Close its Rainbow Location

Egg Works is a Las Vegas restaurant chain known for serving breakfast and lunch in a casual dining environment. The menu features made-to-order egg dishes and classic breakfast staples.

The concept began as Egg & I in 1988. The brand expanded as Egg Works in 2005. Currently, there are seven restaurant locations under Brad Burdsall’s ownership. On March 20, Egg Works posted on social media that a restaurant at 6960 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, would permanently close.

The Rainbow location served the community for 28 years, offering coffee and classic breakfast favorites. The owner shared how longtime customers integrated Egg Works into their routines.

The menu offers an extensive range of breakfast items, such as omelettes topped with cooked potatoes and toast, or a custom-made banana-nut muffin.

Popular items include Eggs Benedict, stuffed French toast, breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, and steak and eggs. The restaurant also offered a range of lunch and beverage options.

What Led to the Closure

The move to shut down the Rainbow location is mainly tied to the owner’s shift toward semi-retirement. Burdsall has decades of experience in the restaurant business but is now scaling back operations. He is preparing to move out of the state and slow down a bit, calling it a bittersweet feeling in the closure announcement.

He will focus on a smaller workload while the brand’s remaining locations continue serving customers across the Las Vegas Valley.

The Rainbow Boulevard restaurant will close on the weekend, encouraging regulars to visit in the final days. Customers and the brand’s fans expressed their emotions on social media and reminisced about the nearly three-decade journey.
