“We have exciting news to share!” says the last Facebook post by Amena Mediterranean Cafe & Bakery. “Amena Cafe’s lease has come to an end at our current location off Decatur & O’Bannon. We are cooking up new ways to make sure our next location will be even better to welcome you and your friends and family!”
That was in the early summer of 2023! But after a very long wait, Amena Cafe is preparing to get up and running once again.
After coming across licensing paperwork for “Amena Cafe2” submitted to Clark County by Amena Cafe2 LLC, What Now reached out to co-owner Asim Saleh to ask about plans for the reopening. Saleh confirmed that an opening is coming down the pipeline.
Details are still being kept under wraps for the moment, however. No official opening date has been officially announced, although Saleh estimates between 4 and 6 weeks.
And the menu? Even there, we still have to wait and see. A new menu is currently under development.
