What Now reported back in May on Ciao Vino Ristorante, a new restaurant from HUKL Hospitality, a subsidiary of HUKL Investments. At the time, little was known about the upcoming new concept, but recent coverage by the Las Vegas Review-Journal has provided more details:
“The remodel of the 4,000-square-foot space [formerly occupied by Bella Vita] is budgeted for $1.5 million,” the coverage says. “Among the highlights are black walnut paneling, wallpaper resembling Venetian plaster, a Marra Forni pizza oven, a chef’s table and a covered terrace.”
The RJ also gives an estimate on the opening: before the end of the summer.
Chef Lupe Avila, who serves a Vice President of Culinary Operations at HUKL Hospitality, told RJ that the menu will feature “classic American staples accentuated with other areas of Italy.”
Meanwhile, HUKL—which was also behind the transformation of Sunnyside Up into La Madre Canyon Grill—is at work on something completely different: a new chicken concept called Chickn N Dipnz, the RJ coverage reveals. Though it is still in its early stages, the concept is known to feature Korean-style rotisserie chicken.
Chickn N Dipnz’s specific location has not yet been revealed, but it’s expected to open in the southwest area.
