Bajamar Seafood & Tacos is finally returning to the Southwest Valley. The owners have heard the yearnings of beloved Bajamar Seafood & Tacos fans and have found the perfect location to bring the eatery back to the area. According to a recently filed permit, Bajamar Seafood & Tacos is anticipated to open at 7960 S Rainbow Blvd, Ste 8000A.

At the helm of the eatery is Alberto Puchi and his son Julian Puchi, who serves as the CFO. What Now Las Vegas spoke with the Puchis about the exciting new development.

“We had quite a few people who got mad at us when our Blue Diamond location closed. So, we’re just trying to give the people what they want again,” Julian said in an interview with What Now Las Vegas.

“We’ve had some people reach out and say, ‘hey, there’s a location, here, here, and here,’ so we’ve had a good support in the community. So, it feels good to come back.”

There are currently two other Bajamar Seafood & Tacos locations serving the Valley. Alberto shared via email that he opened the brand nine years ago when he saw a need for Baja California flavors in Sin City.

“The locals took to us and blessed us with support, especially through the pandemic,” Alberto said.
“We opened a second location on Blue Diamond but had a lease dispute and had to close, so we knew we had to return to the southwest, and Rainbow was the perfect fit.”
The brand is now steamrolling forward. This third location is on its way to becoming a reality, with the lease being signed next week. Construction and hiring will follow shortly after, with the plan to open this Spring in the next few months, but certainly before Summer.
Alberto also informed What Now Las Vegas that a fourth location is coming to the Valley, this time on Main Street in the Arts District. That fourth location is currently in the construction phase.
“With any luck, we should be opening those doors in three months,” Alberto shared.
The good news is, all the good eats that Bajamar Seafood & Tacos is known and beloved for will appear on the menu at the two new locations.
“If I gotta have an appetizer, it’s going to be the Poke Nachos. Super fresh, all the time,” Julian suggests.
“If it’s gonna be a taco, it’s going to be the Gobernador, which is sauteed shrimp or an octopus chiccharone, which is deep-fried battered octopus, super tender, really flavorful. And if it’s a tostada, that’s going to be the Tsnumai tostada. It’s got a little bit of everything from the scallop to sashimi fish up to shrimp. So, a little bit of everything, definitely refreshing.”
“We’re known for our fish taco, it’s taken best taco in Nevada for the last five years on three different platforms,” Alberto adds.
“My personal favorite is our octopus taco. Oh my…You’ve got to try it!”
Try all of this out and more when the two new locations open this year.
Bajamar Seafood & Tacos is anticipated to open once again in the Southwest Valley at 7960 S Rainbow Blvd, Ste 8000A, and on Main Street in the Arts District before Summer 2026.
