WaBa Grill, the Asian-fusion bowl concept born in Los Angeles, is at work building out its footprint in the valley. It’s already more than three years ago that What Now reported that the brand had signed an 8-unit franchising deal for Clark County with franchisee Raj Sangha.

The brand made its debut last year, in Henderson, where you can go check it out at 3458 St. Rose Parkway. Now, building permit paperwork has been submitted showing another WaBa Grill opening at 3896 Paradise Road, in the Collective shopping center.

WaBa Grill marries healthy food to bold flavor, with fire-grilled proteins like fresh, never frozen chicken, marinated ribeye steak, wild-caught salmon, jumbo shrimp, and organic tofu. Guests add these to their fully customizable bowls, plates and salads, which are topped with a variety of flavorful sauces including the branded favorite, WaBa sauce. There’s also WaBa’s Plantspired Steak: a 100% plant-based protein alternative that has become extremely popular with all diners, and not only those with plant-based diets.

Joining the Collective’s food and drink portfolio, WaBa Grill would take its a place among restaurants like Tacos & Beer, Izakaya Tora, Cleaver, and Jersey Mike’s Subs.

What Now reached out to franchisee Raj Sangha on Wednesday to ask about plans for a new WaBa Grill at the Collective. Sangha was not immediately available for comment.
