Next year, the Las Vegas Arts District will see the opening of the English Hotel, a boutique 74-room hotel named for celebrity chef Todd English, which will feature the Pepper Club, a new Todd English restaurant.

An article published in the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Monday noted that English had moved to the city a year and half ago. English has expressed a growing attraction to the Arts District, which he visits frequently.

It is perhaps for this reason that the Arts District was chosen as the location for the new hotel, which will open at 921 Main Street, between Coolidge Ave and Hoover Ave, in 2022.

Details about the restaurant are scarce other than English’s own description of it as a “spicy, jazzy, loungey” space serving sushi and oysters. But more details are anticipated to emerge in the fall, when the project is expected to receive a solid opening date.

What Now Las Vegas reached out to Todd English by phone on Thursday. English was not available for comment.
