Circus Circus Hotel & Casino is preparing to add Burger King to its roster of indulgent food and drink brands. The globally recognized burger chain owned by Restaurant Brands International will replace DQ Grill & Chill in the food court, which is also soon to add a Del Taco location.
“We think the guests need a burger concept,” Lincoln Spoor, CEO of Feel Good Brands Corp, which operates the food court, told What Now on Friday. “RBI has a lot of iconic brands. The menu development has been tremendous.”
Known worldwide for the Whopper, Burger King offers a broad range of burgers, including the the Impossible Whopper, one of the first and most successful of the recent wave of meatless fast food burgers. The menu also features chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, and fries along with coffee drinks and desserts that include Hershey’s Sundae Pie, soft serve ice cream, and shakes in flavors like Chocolate, Strawberry and Oreo Cookie.
Burger King will play a role once filled by McDonald’s, which was the casino hotel’s only fast food option until the food court opened, having what Spoor described to What Now last year as “a monopoly on food at Circus Circus for thirty years.”
Now, the incoming Burger King will be one of a number of fun concepts, including Hot Dog on a Stick, Pick up Stix, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Krispy Kreme, Popeyes, and—before too long—Del Taco.
