With its cuisine inspired by the flavors of Jalisco, family-owned Mexican restaurant Durango Taco Shop has become a Las Vegas fixture. Three and a half years ago, What Now reported on the restaurant’s plans to open its first location in Henderson. That was its sixth location overall. Now, the brand is gearing up for another first: Durango Taco Shop’s first drive-thru location will open this June at 8480 Las Vegas Blvd S, Suite 110.

“It’s going to be a great location,” owner Rick Yanes told What Now on Friday. “It’s our eighth. We’re a family restaurant—family-owned and -operated—with authentic Mexican food. We’re best known for our signature queso-birria tacos, and we’re really excited to bring our menu to this part of the city.”

With the queso-birria taco as the star, the restaurant’s menu does not skimp on choice. There are tacos, burritos, enchiladas, tortas, quesadillas, and even meat sold by the pound to take home. And with daily specials constantly in rotation, you’re to find what you’re looking for it, be it the usual or something new.

The location on South Las Vegas Boulevard is situated near the intersection with East Wigwam Avenue.
