Casino Center Blvd will soon be home to the second location of Las Vegas’s own Fry Dayz Fish & Wings. Paperwork filed recently with the City Planning Commission details plans to convert a small house into a full-service restaurant with liquor license, operating Wednesday-Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Doe Henderson, a project contact at the company, confirmed the news in an email conversation with What Now Las Vegas on Monday morning.

“Fry Dayz is a family-owned business,” Henderson said. The restaurant, whose original location can be found at 855 E Twain Ave, represents a partnership between Henderson and his mother, Hattie Biggs, in the wake of a tragedy.

After the unexpected death of Bigg’s daughter Dashaynee Williams, Biggs retired from her job at Wynn Las Vegas. She reached out to Henderson with the plan to find a restaurant they could open, and which they could dedicate to Dashaynee’s memory.

Fry Dayz is the product of those labors: a restaurant serving an appetizing fusion of Cajun and soul-food cuisines, with a menu featuring seafood dishes like fried lobster tails, catfish, and shrimp po boys, along with other savory choices like spaghetti sandwiches and wing baskets. There are also several mix and match options—pairing, for example, chicken wings with fried shrimp.

The restaurant also serves breakfast all day, with Fry Dayz’ Fish & Gritz Breakfast topping the list of top menu items on Grubhub. Other breakfast dishes include the Chicken and Wafflez Breakfast and the Salmon Croquette Cakes Breakfast.

The menu also features sides like coleslaw, spaghetti, mac and cheese, and potato salad. For dessert, guests have a choice between peach cobbler, banana pudding, and a rotating cake of the week.

“Fry Dayz thrives on customer service,” Henderson said. “Even though it’s impossible to do, we thrive to please every customer.”

Construction has yet to begin on the new location at 1229 S Casino Center Blvd. An opening date has not yet been announced.
