Guthrie’s, the “chicken-finger-only-pioneer,” appears to be moving forward with aggressive growth in Las Vegas. The chicken franchise announced a massive development deal late last year that is expected to bring a number of new locations in the Las Vegas Valley.

Recently submitted permitting paperwork appears to show the wheels moving on one of those locations, planned for 5752 S Jones Blvd. The paperwork describes a ground-up build of a 2,092-square-foot Guthrie’s location.

Guthrie’s has offered its classic take on hand-breaded chicken fingers—served southern-style with coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, and signature dipping sauce—since it was founded in 1965.

Opening on the southeast corner of the intersection between South Jones Boulevard and West Russell Road, Guthrie’s would be one of several restaurants located around that intersection, including Kase Sake & Sushi, Cafe 86, and Cinnabon.
