With more than 50 locations currently in operation, it’s about time growing Hawaiian food franchise Hawaiian Bros Island Grill made its way to Hawaii’s ninth island, isn’t it? Well, lo and behold, it is! Las Vegas’s first Hawaiian Bros. will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, September 26 at 6071 W Craig Road, near the intersection with Jones Boulevard. (Meanwhile, you can visit Thursday, September 25 for live entertainment and food giveaways.)
“We currently operate some restaurants already in Las Vegas, so we knew the market pretty well,” franchisee Chris Aslam told What Now. “Plus, we were already operating Hawaiian Bros. in San Antonio. It made sense to bring Hawaiian Bros. to Vegas, because we felt it was something fresh, something that would perform well.”
So far, so good: with the store’s soft opening, the positive reviews have poured in, Aslam says.
“It’s been a tremendous response from folks. We think we have something really special.”
The brand, if you’re not already familiar, serves up a menu featuring Plate Lunches (each served with white rice and macaroni salad) like Huli Huli Chicken (Our signature dish! Marinated teriyaki chicken grilled fresh), Luau Pig, and Kilauea Chicken (Sweet & Spicy grilled chicken with a lava hot kick).
“In true Aloha Spirit, Hawaiian Bros was founded on the principles of honor, inclusion and gratitude,” says the brand’s website. “We respect the dignity and self-worth of every individual, whether you’re a guest enjoying a meal or the team member preparing it. In our ’ohana, everyone belongs. We value our differences and celebrate our common ground. And we say, ‘thank you’ often, emphasizing the positive in our lives every day.”
The new location features what Aslam calls a “fresh, open seating arrangement” with inside dining space, good parking access, a double drive-thru, and patio seating into the bargain. And it’s not the end of Hawaiian Bros.’ journey in the valley: Aslam says the search is currently on for a second location.
Check out the grand opening on Friday at 11 a.m., with free meals for the first 100 guests, t-shirt and $100 gift card giveaways, and a raffle to win free Hawaiian Bros. for a year.
