Two and a half years ago, in April 2023, What Now reported on the closing of Hearthstone Kitchen & Cellar at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa. It was bittersweet news at the time, as there was then talk of a brand-new Mexican restaurant: Leoncito, whose name was not yet known, and which replaced Hearthstone at the resort.

Now, however, Hearthstone Kitchen & Cellar is preparing to make a comeback at Red Rock in early 2026—this classic favorite is back by popular demand.

“The call to bring Hearthstone back was loud and clear,” Craig O’Keefe, COO of Clique Hospitality, said in a press release. “It’s thanks to the loyal guests who loved Hearthstone that we are reopening in its original space, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome everyone back.”

The press release describes a new, redesigned bar and dining room, along with “rustic American cuisine” from Michelin-starred Executive Chef Jason McLeod. It’s a new menu that will “blend Hearthstone classics with bold new dishes, paired with an expanded wine program highlighted by a curated wine room showcasing labels from across the globe.”

Expected wood-fried pizzas, “with blistered, charred crusts that crispy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside”; Short Rib Pappardelle, “tender, red-wine braised short ribs with tomatoes and herbs and ribbons of silky handmade pasta”; and “seasonal fruit cobbler, made with a crumbly topping and seasonal fruits.”

Hearthstone will be replacing Leoncito, which closed late last month, in its original 6,500-square-foot space.

“Hearthstone was a staple for many years at Red Rock, and we are so glad to welcome all their loyal guests back to the next evolution of the beloved restaurant,” Scott Nelson, Vice President and General Manager of Red Rock Casino, said in the press release. “We heard our valued guests’ feedback – Hearthstone is coming back!”
