Founded in Baja California in 1892, Hussong’s Cantina is believed to be the place where the Margarita was invented, in 1941, by Don Carlos Orozco. The Mexico-born brand has since launched two locations in Las Vegas, including one at Mandalay Bay and one in Boca Park.
And now, permitting paperwork submitted recently to Clark County suggests that another Hussong’s location may be in the works for the Las Vegas Valley, this time in Henderson. The paperwork is for a tenant improvement at 3440 St. Rose Parkway. The contract valuation for the work on the Hussong’s location is listed as $1.1 million.
The Hussong’s menu at Mandalay Bay opens with appetizers like Taquitos, Mini Birria Tacos, and Elote Ensenada. Hussong’s Classics dishes include Carne Asada, Honey Chipotle Salmon, the Baja Burger, and Hussong’s Chile Relleno. There’s also a selection of breakfast choices, including a Breakfast Burrito and Huevos Rancheros.
What Now reached out to a representative of Hussong’s on Thursday to inquire about plans for a Henderson location. The representative was not immediately available for comment.
