Located at 1 Main Street, the Plaza Hotel & Casino is adding a new concept to its restaurant community. Licensing paperwork submitted to the City of Las Vegas shows Just Rice opening at the hotel’s address.

Little information is available yet about the new concept. Just Rice’s website shows rice tossed and frying in a wok.

Behind the concept is local restaurateur Les Robinson. What Now contacted Robinson on Thursday to inquire about the new restaurant’s opening timeline and menu offerings. Robinson said Just Rice is still some weeks out from launch.

In the meantime, What Now is still awaiting information on the brand’s menu. That it will be based on fried rice is, to say the least, a safe guess.

Opening at the Plaza, Just Rice will join a food and drink roster that includes restaurants like Oscar’s Steakhouse and Hash House A Go Go, and bars like Carousel Bar and the Sand Dollar Downtown.

Just Rice has launched an Instagram page: @ilovejustrice. No posts to the page have been made yet.
