With the closure of the Fiesta Henderson casino and hotel due to the pandemic, Leticia’s Cocina & Cantina will relocate four miles away to the Sunset Station in Henderson.

Permits issued in May indicate plans for a remodel inside Sunset Station; however, an official opening date and an exact location have not been revealed. Eater Las Vegas reports that “the casino floor was previously home to the large Cabo Mexican Restaurant.”

Chef Leticia Mitchell currently runs a similar restaurant at Santa Fe Station as well as the fast casual Letty’s De Leticia’s Cocina in the Arts District. Mitchell’s Cocina restaurants serve authentic Mexican cuisine. Among its delicious plates are its award-winning queso tacos and queso fundido made with menonita and Oaxaca cheese and topped with fresh Mexican chorizo, sautéed onions or mushrooms, and served with homemade corn masa tortillas.
