Downtown taco destination Madero Street Tacos will be serving its popular street tacos and burritos once again. The restaurant, which closed temporarily last year, was issued a building permit for interior renovations in November, 2021, and will reopen soon.
The restaurant’s menu is the brainchild of executive chef Francisco Alvarez. It features tacos with a selection of proteins including asada, chicken, carnitas, shrimp, crispy chicken, and fish, each served with rice and beans. Burritos are served with Spanish rice, beans, onion, cilantro, and red or green sauce—or, in Super Burrito form, all these plus sour cream, guacamole, and cheese—and are completed by guests’ choice of chicken, carnitas, or steak.
The location on the northern corner of E Carson Ave and 7th St is only a short walk from Fremont St and is situated across 7th St from the Downtown Container Park, home to a number of local businesses, as well as eateries like Pinches Tacos and Waffelato.
What Now Las Vegas was unable to reach Chef Francisco Alvarez for comment. No official reopening date has been announced, but keep your eyes peeled: Madero Street Tacos will be serving up a feast soon.
