Vegas-born restaurant Makai Pacific Island Grill will open a new location at 3851 W Charleston Blvd this fall.
The brand offers a menu featuring build-your-own meals, bowls, and salads. Guests choose a size (Ono, Ono’er, and Ono’est, offering one, two, or three meat choices), white or brown rice. and their protein(s), from a selection that includes Teriyaki Chicken, Kalua Pig, Chicken Katsu, Poke (Ahi Tuna), and more.
“We opened Makai Pacific Island Grill in January of 2016,” says the Makai website. “Since then, we have been serving the most mouth-watering and delicious meals from our homeland. We learned our recipes from our grandmother, who operated food truck and catering businesses in Honolulu Hawaii.”
Opening in Trop Canyon Plaza, a new Makai location would join restaurants like Sweet Garden Japanese Cheesecake, Juan’s Flaming Fajitas & Cantina, and Sena Gluten Free Bakery.
What Now reached out to owner Kawika Lawther on Monday to inquire about plans for a new Makai Island Grill location. Lawther was not immediately available for comment.
