Marker 40 is a spanking new concept set to hit the Valley this spring. The family-owned and operated business is expected to open at 14 W Wyoming. A city permit showed Marker 40 would be coming to the Valley with Brendan Roberts of Roberts Beverage Service running point.

“This is our very first location! We are a family-owned and operated business. My partners have lived here for 35 years, and I am a Las Vegas Native,” Roberts shared with What Now Las Vegas via email.

While the concept is new to Sin City, it comes with a whole lot of history.

“The state of Nevada has a system of 274 historical markers that highlight important places around the state. Number 40 is the historical marker for Las Vegas. We hope to embrace the community that we love and have called home for a long time,” Roberts said.

“We aim to create a unique experience that will shine light on Las Vegas history through our drink/food selection and customer service that puts Las Vegas on the map. Being a Las Vegas-themed location, we plan to work with other local businesses and members of the community to host unique events and collaborations.”

The Downtown Las Vegas venue has all of the feels of a local bar in the Arts District, where it will operate. While the menu, like the building, is still under construction, Marker 40 promises a full bar with cocktails and beer.

“While working on a nearby bar, I noticed the space being built and enjoyed the open concept with a rooftop space. After speaking with the landlord and hearing his plans to make a communal seating bar/restaurant space or “food hall”, we realized this would be the perfect space to open our concept,” Roberts said.

“We are very community-focused, and an opportunity to try our concept in a space with other like-minded businesses and a smaller floor plan seemed like a no-brainer.”

Sitting at a whopping 300 square-feet the bar has an amazing view of the Strat on the Strip and will serve as a communal space, expanding the reach of the micro bar.

Beyond the drinks, Marker 40 will come with the eats. Roberts shared that the new bar will offer a food/snack menu that will be paired with signature cocktails and beer.

“Stay tuned for rotating/pop-up items that will keep the menu fresh year-round,” Robert said.

“As history nerds, we hope to create a space that is inviting, using elements of architecture and design from historic and non-historic buildings, bars, and restaurants from around the valley. We aim to create a fun and exciting way to learn about this amazing city/state you are in! Pay attention to our social media @marker40lv on Instagram!”

Roberts shared that Marker 40 will indeed host a Grand Opening! Keep your eyes peeled on the brand’s Instagram page for the latest updates!

Marker 40 is anticipated to open at 14 W Wyoming this May.
