Mexico City’s La Popular planned for Las Vegas

A concept out of Mexico City is plotting a Las Vegas restaurant.

Called La Popular, the restaurant is being brought to the U.S. by Grupo Carolo and hospitality company Rockets + Pineapples, which is behind the Eureka! restaurants, according to Nation’s Restaurant News.

 “We are excited to introduce a vibrant, authentic home-grown Mexican restaurant to the United States,” Paul Frederick, founder of Eureka Restaurant Group and Rockets + Pineapples, said in a statement to Nation’s Restaurant News. 

The first location is expected to open in California, followed by Nevada and Texas. 

Details are scare at this time about the Las Vegas location. 

Frederick declined an interview request to What Now Las Vegas.

La Popular offers tostadas, quesadillas, gorditas, tacos and more, according to an online menu. It also has an extensive tequila list.
