With a grand opening planned for April 24, expanding Hawaiian-inspired doughnut shop Mochinut will be serving the Las Vegas area very soon.
Mochi donuts originated in Hawaii and are a combination of Japanese rice cakes (mochi) and American-style doughnuts. Mochinut’s popularity is thanks to its unique shape and wonderful texture; light crispy coating with a soft chewy inside.
Flavors vary from chocolate, vanilla, matcha, earl grey, and can come topped with cookies, fruits, nuts, and more. Mochinut also sells Korean rice flour hot dogs.
Mochinut already has plans for a Henderson location, according to its website.
Currently with more than 10 branches in the U.S., Mochinut has 30 more scheduled to open in California, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York, Texas, and Washington.
The new location opening this month will be located near the Chinatown Plaza in a space previously occupied by Lulala Karoraoke & Skewers. In Henderson, Mochinut is moving into the Paseo Verde Plaza.
