E Fremont St. will soon be home to Monarca Club and Restaurant, a locally-owned venue.

What Now Las Vegas confirmed the news in a phone call with owner Enrique Ordonez on Wednesday morning. Ordonez said the restaurant would open, to begin with, on Friday and Saturday nights, featuring Banda style music on Saturday nights and more contemporary music for Latino Nights on Fridays. Hours of operation are expected to expand out from there, with the eventual addition of Thursdays, Sundays, and so on.

Monarca will also serve food. Details on the menu are limited at this time, but Ordonez said to expect tasty dishes that would include chicken wings and ceviche.

No official opening date has been announced, but Monarca is expected to open early this year at 3015 Fremont St, near Perfect Inn Motel.

“Stay tuned,” said Ordonez. “It’s going to be a great place to come and enjoy Fridays and Saturdays.”
