Moonshine Flats, Popular Entertainment Venue, to Come to Durango Casino & Resort

Moonshine Flats, San Diego's wildly popular entertainment venue, is set to open at Durango Casino & Resort as part of the property's north expansion.

Moonshine Flats is about to put the honky tonk good times into the Durango Casino & Resort experience. Durango Casino & Resort recently announced in a press release a partnership with Good Times Design to bring the San Diego-based entertainment venue to Las Vegas. Part of the property’s north expansion, Moonshine Flats will open in the Durango Casino & Resort at 6915 S Durango Dr once construction is completed.

“Durango’s North expansion is the total package, and the addition of Moonshine Flats will make the property the epicenter for great live entertainment,” said Vice President and General Manager of Durango Casino & Resort, David Horn, in a press release.

“Our partnership with Moonshine Flats creates a shared vision for the next evolution of entertainment in one of the best and fastest growing neighborhoods in the city.”

The Las Vegas Moonshine Flats will feature national live touring music acts, line dancing, and a list of DJs spinning top country, rock, and pop music.

“Moonshine Flats is rooted in live music, good times, and unforgettable moments,” Ty Hauter, CEO of Nashville-based Good Time Design, said in the press release.

“We can’t wait to bring a fresh level of entertainment and excitement to Las Vegas locals and tourists alike.”

Good Time Design is an all-encompassing hospitality and entertainment group based in Nashville, Tennessee, and San Diego, California. Hauter created Good Time Design in 2006. Since then, the company has rapidly grown to own and operate numerous unique establishments in Southern California and Tennessee.

What Now Las Vegas reached out to both Hauter and Horn for more details on how construction is going and to find out when a grand opening could be possible, but we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

The two-story 29,000 square foot venue to come to the Durango Casino & Resort will offer a “world-class entertainment experience” offering unmatched sightlines, a large stage, spacious dancefloor/pit, and a second-floor mezzanine featuring VIP booths and a dedicated bar.

The new Moonshine Flats will have an outdoor patio with lawn games, TVs, and a fireplace. In addition to live music, the venue will feature five bars in total, side lounge seating areas, games, retail, and a to-go food window from a neighboring restaurant.

Moonshine Flats is expected to open once Durango Resort & Casino’s North expansion is completed. Construction just beand is expected to be complete in 18 months when Moonshine Flats will open at 6915 S Durango Dr.
