Centennial Center Blvd will soon be home to the first Las Vegas location of Double O’s Coffee, one of ten expected to open in the city in the medium term.
The news comes on the eve of an nation-wide expansive push on the part of the coffee chain. Double O’s first drive-thru is set to open before the end of this year, with the Las Vegas and several other locations following not long thereafter.
“We hope to have 500 locations in development in the next six years,” owner and founder Colby O’Brien recently told What Now Orlando.
The first five locations, among which the Las Vegas outpost numbers, are intended as a proof of concept: the chain offers specialty coffee drinks including its “milkshake-infused” espresso and an energy drink called the “Riptide.” Its beans are to be supplied by Joffrey’s Coffee in Tampa, coffee supplier to Disney World. The company’s president Eduardo Heredia is a Scooter’s Coffee and Starbucks alum.
All this coffee expertise is brought to bear in an atmosphere that stays true to the company’s Orlando roots: all hail the beach.
“We’re bringing the beach to desert,” O’Brien told What Now Las Vegas in a Tuesday afternoon phone call, describing the match between the brand and the city. “My father [developer Kurt O’Brien] has a lot of experience developing in Las Vegas. We’re really open to looking for more sites in Vegas and getting our feet off the ground.”
No opening date for the 5770 Centennial Center Blvd Double O’s location has been announced at this time.
