Cactus Bubble Tea, a brand new local business, will open soon, offering new takes on the massively popular beverage. B&G Brew Tea House LLC recently filed paperwork with Clark County to open a shop in suite 130 of the The Annex, a retail center located at 7686 S Las Vegas Blvd.

Owner Peter Gao confirmed the news on the phone with What Now Las Vegas on Thursday.

“We hope everybody will like it,” Gao said. “It will be a little different. We have some new items, and that’s why we called it Cactus.”

These new and occasionally unusual ingredients—cactus among them— will allow Cactus Bubble Tea to hold the interest of even those visitors who are already familiar with the burgeoning boba tea landscape.

“Here [in Las Vegas] there’s a lot of tropical fruit and vegetables,” Gao said. “We wanted to try something new.”

Upon first opening, the tea shop will serve beverages only, but it is expected to start serving cakes and Asian-style snacks in the future.

Located on the northeast corner of the S Las Vegas BlvdE Robindale Rd intersection, the tea shop will be one of a number of culinary stops along Las Vegas Blvd between Robindale and Warm Springs Rd, including such brands as Buffalo Wild Wings, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Joe’s New York Pizza, and Black Bear Diner.

No definite opening date has been set for Cactus Bubble Tea, but it is expected to open later in Q1 of this year.
