The retail center on South Durango Drive below West Arby Avenue appears to be adding a new restaurant to its culinary roster. Licensing paperwork submitted to Clark County by Mahaheng LLC shows a restaurant called Shuba opening at 7150 S Durango Dr, Suite 190.
Behind Mahaheng LLC is owner Bundit Atsawakaew. Atsawakaew was in the news back in 2022, when he was working to launch a new Yama Sushi location at 116 N Third Street. (Atsawakaew is a longtime Yama Sushi employee himself.)
What Now reached out to Atsawakaew on Tuesday to inquire about plans for Shuba. The restaurateur was not immediately available to talk about the upcoming restaurant.
That leaves us guessing, for the moment, as to what menu offerings could be expected at Shuba upon its opening in the retail center, where it would join a food and beverage community that includes Stacks and Yolks, Volcano Grille, and Distill – A Local Bar.
