Late last year, What Now reported on local restaurateur Rocky Singh’s plans to open two new restaurants. The first, Old Skool Bar Hookah and Cafe is now open at 4266 S Durango Drive. The second, Zaika Indian Bistro, has not only opened at 1955 E Tropicana Ave, but it appears to be already preparing a second location.

This week, What Now found building permitting paperwork submitted to Clark County for a restaurant called Zaika Indian Bistro, which would open at 9365 S Rainbow Blvd, Suite 120.

It would be the second location for an Indian restaurant serving up Tandoori Temptations like Paneera Tikka, Fish Tandoori, and Lamb Kabab; Zaika Special Biryani with proteins like lamb, fish, goat, and egg; and Indo-Chinese dishes like Gobhi Manchurian (Cauliflower, flour, garlic, ginger, onions, tomatoes, soy sauce, red chili sauce, green chili, garam masala, coriander, turmeric, and salt) and Chowmein.

“Zaika Indian Bistro is your gateway to authentic Indian cuisine, blending traditional flavors with a modern touch,” says the restaurant’s website. “Located in the heart of Las Vegas, we offer a diverse menu featuring rich curries, sizzling tandoori dishes, and delightful desserts, crafted with the finest ingredients and authentic spices. Whether you’re joining us for a fine dining experience, indulging in our lavish buffet, or ordering takeout, we aim to create memorable culinary moments. Our warm ambiance and exceptional service make us the perfect choice for family dinners, romantic evenings, or special celebrations. Discover the true essence of Indian cuisine at Zaika Indian Bistro!”

The Rainbow Boulevard location is situated near the intersection with West Serene Avenue, where a new Zaika Indian Bistro would join a restaurant community that includes McDonald’s, Whidbey’s A Daytime Eatery, Bojangles, and more.

What Now reached out to Rocky Singh this week to inquire about plans for a new Zaika location. Singh was not immediately available for comment.
