Passion Restaurant & Lounge has been offering Chinatown a menu of Ethiopian and Mediterranean food, cocktails, and hookah since it opened in 2018. The restaurant has been closed for renovations and will reopen with an upgraded menu.

What Now confirmed the news with a representative of the restaurant on Friday. The representative said the menu would continue to feature current favorites, with some upgraded additions a perhaps a few subtractions.

The restaurant has offered Ethiopian entrees like Ethiopian Special Kitfo (Lean beef chopped and warmed in Ethiopian spiced butter, served with cheese and spinach) and Zill Zill Tibs (Strips of charbroiled rib eye seasoned with garlic and black pepper, onion, green chilies, and a touch of rosemary), plus a number of other dishes, including Paninis & Wraps like a Chicken Pesto Panini and a Chicken Avocado Wrap.

Passion Restaurant & Lounge is located in Mountain View Plaza, a shopping center just south of the intersection between S Jones Blvd. and W Desert Inn Rd. It is also home to eateries like Q Bistro, China Mama, and Fuku Burger Chinatown.

No official reopening date has been announced for the restaurant and hookah lounge, but keep your eyes open: it’s back coming soon.
