A new restaurant offering pho and other dishes from Vietnamese cuisine is preparing to open at the intersection of East Serene Avenue and South Spencer Street.

“We have sought to continue the tradition of offering the best in fresh, flavorful Vietnamese cuisine with the finest ingredients set in a comfortable relax atmosphere,” says the website of Pho Saigonese, the new restaurant opening at 1740 E Serene Ave.

Highlighted dishes from the upcoming menu include Bánh Khot (Crispy rice cakes filled with shrimp, mung beans and scallions, flavored with a dash of turmeric served with Asian greens and lime chili fish sauce), Banh Xeo (Pan-seared rice flour filled with shrimp, pork belly, onions, mushroom & bean sprout. Served with Asian greens & lime chili fish sauce), and Bún Cha Hanoi (Hà Nội-style pork patties, Charbroiled pork and pork belly in spicy lime chili fish sauce; served with house pickles, Asian greens and vermicelli).

What Now reached out to co-owner Danmy Nguyen on Friday to inquire about plans for Pho Saigonese’s opening. Nguyen declined to make any immediate comment on the restaurant. What Now is awaiting more information on Pho Saigonese, so be sure to check back for possible updates.

Opening at Serene and Spencer, Pho Saigonese joins restaurants like Chopan Kabob, The Buffalo Spot, Don Tortaco, and Dutch Bros Coffee.
