With five restaurants currently in operation, including one in Las Vegas, at 6700 W Charleston Blvd, Captain Sam’s Fish and Chicken is a fast casual concept with “all your seafood and chicken favorites, plus some amazing specialties that you won’t find anywhere else.”
Building on the success of its first location in the valley, the brand is now looking to expand to a second location, this time at 240 N Jones Blvd, according to paperwork going before the Las Vegas Planning Commission this month.
“Captain Sam’s Fish and Chicken,” says a justification letter submitted with the paperwork, “currently operates a unique establishment that is a combination convenience store with take-out food and off-premise sales of alcohol. The existing establishment recently opened at 6700 West Charleston. The proprietor would like to open a second location within a C-1 zoned shopping center.”
The letter specifies that location would be takeout only. It also includes a request for a special use permit for gaming.
What Now reached out to owner Samim Bidi to ask about plans for the opening. Bidi was not immediately available for comment.
The Captain Sam’s menu features Fish Dinners, Chicken Dinners, Shrimp Dinners, and larger-size Family Dinners. There boneless and bone-in wings, a selection of salads and sides, plus desserts. Favorites from the menu include Sam’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich, “made with 2 juicy tenders, pickles and Captain Sam’s Secret Sauce.”
