News broke nearly a year ago that Voodoo Brewing Company is planning on a new Las Vegas location on Brewery Row, at 1415 S Commerce St. Plans for that location, along with paperwork requesting a Special Use Permit for Alcohol, will go before the Las Vegas Planning Commission this month.

“Our brand fits perfectly with the Downtown Las Vegas vibe and we have many customers eagerly waiting [sic] our opening,” says a justification letter included with the paperwork. The letter estimates a total 5 employees will be hired, promises an outside area with “Instagrammable” murals, and adds, “Voodoo Brewing Co is [a] perfect asset to the downtown community.”

The brand’s craft beers include the Good Vibes West Coast IPA, Oh Mama Traditional Golden American Lager (made in partnership with the band Styx), the Lacto Kooler, a flavored Berliner Weisse made with “lots of green,” and many more.

Situated just south of the East Imperial Avenue intersection, the location will be part of a community of beer brewers known as Brewery Row. It includes nearby brewery locations like Able Baker Brewing and Nevada Brew Works. Also nearby are Soulbelly BBQ, Cork and Thorn, and Level One Bar & Lounge.

What Now reached out to franchisee Alison Wainwright on Wednesday. Wainwright was not available for comment.
