Located at 1412 S Main Street in Las Vegas’s Gateway District, music venue Sinwave is currently marked “temporarily closed” on Google Maps. It now appears that the venue, which has been hosting “Alternative Events for Alternative People” may soon be replaced by a new nightclub concept.
Licensing paperwork was submitted to the City of Las Vegas by Ugly Duckling LLC, showing a night club called Ugly Duckling opening at that address.
Behind Ugly Duckling is Harvey Graham, the nightlife entrepreneur who has brought Vegas several other venues, like Swan Dive and Oddfellows.
We last spoke with Graham for coverage of the Swan Dive opening, all the way back in October 2021. Swan Dive continues to be a popular destination for live music.
What Now reached out to Graham on Friday to ask about plans for Ugly Duckling—another avian name that seems related to Swan Dive. Graham was not immediately available for comment.
For the moment, this leaves us guessing on the details about Ugly Duckling’s opening plans, space, and drink offerings. Stay tuned, though, we’re hoping for an update soon.
