The corner of Tropicana Ave and Duneville St will soon be home to Red Sea Bar and Restaurant, a new Ethiopian restaurant from the owner of Reggae Hookah Lounge, located nearby.
Owner Kider Jemal confirmed the news in a phone call with What Now Las Vegas early Monday afternoon. Jemal said the restaurant will offer a menu of Ethiopian dishes along with chicken wings and sandwiches. The restaurant recently filed for a permit to serve beer and wine on the premises as well.
Jemal also operates Reggae Hookah Lounge, located behind the building to be occupied by Red Sea Bar and Restaurant. Reggae offers a relaxed environment with affordable drinks, where Red Sea guests will be able to relax after their meal until as late as 5 a.m.
The location at 5795 W Tropicana Ave, formerly home to Chupy’s Mexican Restaurant, is part of a small cluster of shops and restaurants near Club De Soleil, not far from the Las Vegas Strip. Neighboring eateries include Bernardo’s Pizza & Wings, Taqueria La Casa Del Pastor, and Del Taco.
Also located nearby is Aquila Market, a grocery store and butcher shop.
