Shipley Do-Nuts is set to debut in Las Vegas. The Houston-born doughnut brand is embarking on bringing not one, but three shops to the Valley, according to the recent Las Vegas Review-Journal Neon article.
At the helm of the Las Vegas expansion are franchisees Rastelli and Krstal Relagado. Former Franchise Development executive for Shipley Do-Nuts, Jonathan Massey, shared via LinkedIn that the two would be leading the charge on the upcoming three-store opening.
What Now Las Vegas briefly spoke with Relagado about the multi-unit deal, who confirmed the upcoming Sin City development.
No word just on when and where exactly the three new spots will open. The brand deal is part of a larger plan to expand the brand’s footprint across the country.
Shipley Do-Nut was founded by Lawrence and Lillie Shipley in Houston in 1936 and has continued to grow ever since. There are now more than 300 franchised Shipley Do-Nut stores sprawled across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Maryland, and, most recently, Colorado.
What Now Las Vegas also briefly chatted with Shipley Do-nuts, Jason Highers, who was unable to share more details about the expansion.
“When they bite into that hot donut, it will bring them back every time,” the website reads as a quote from founder Lawrence Shipley.
While the sweets shop may be known for its original Hot Glazed Donut, the sweet offerings don’t stop there. The eatery offers a variety of Iced & Sugar Donuts, Filled Donuts, and of course, Kolaches, just to name a few of the booming donut chain’s delicious offerings.
Though it may be a ways away, Shipley Do-Nuts lovers can rejoice now, for three Shipley Do-Nuts will open in the Greater Las Vegas region in the coming year or two.
