Founded by two friends, Aram and Julia, the Taco Stand has grown to encompass fifteen locations as part of the Showa Hospitality family of brands.

“Originating from the lively border region of Tijuana, Aram and Julian, our founders, are two passionate culinary aficionados on a mission to capture the essence of their homeland’s flavors,” says the Taco Stand’s website. “Inspired by Tijuana’s bustling taco stands and their culinary adventures across the Baja Peninsula, they founded the first Taco Stand in San Diego in 2013 and are dedicated to bringing the authentic taste of Mexican food to taco enthusiasts all over America.”

The brand, which has one location currently operating in Las Vegas, has offered menus featuring tacos, burritos, and quesadillas served with proteins like Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Pollo Asado, Camaron, and Grilled Pescado. There are also extras like Carne Asada Fries and Mar y Tierra Fires, with grilled shrimp, flame-grilled Angus steak, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese.

Last month, the City of Las Vegas issued a building permit for a new Taco Stand location. It’s in the works at 1100 S Fort Apache Road. There’s no word yet on when construction is expected to finish.

Opening in Crossroads Commons, the Taco Stand will join a food and beverage community that includes WFM Coffee & Juice Bar, Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream, and Chick-fil-A.
