Stephano’s Greek and Mediterranean Grill opened in 1998 as Daily Chicken, a small gyro shop near UNLV. A family business, the brand has expanded in the years since to include three locations—one on Fort Apache, another in Henderson, and a third offering pickup and takeout orders only, inside Newport Motors on E Sahara Ave.
Stephano’s now appears to be expanding to its third restaurant. Permit paperwork recently submitted to Clark County, shows plans for another Stephano’s Greek and Mediterranean Grill, this time at 5095 Blue Diamond Rd.
Influenced by the cuisines of Greece, Lebanon, and Armenia, the menu opens with appetizers like hummus, baba ganoush, tabouleh, and other Mediterranean favorites. Main dishes include Chicken Kebab, the Beef & Lamb Gyro Plate, and the Beef Shawerma Plate. The following sections include Rice Bowls like the Falafel bowl (with rice, Israeli Salad, tahini, and pita), Salads like the Original Greek Salad or the Veggie Kebab Salad, and a selection of pita wraps, which feature similar choices in pita sandwich form.
The location on Blue Diamond is one of a number of dining locations between Edmond St and S Decatur Blvd. These include Tacotarian, Bella Vita, Mountain West Eatery, and Sharky’s Modern Mexican Kitchen.
What Now reached out to a representative of Stephano’s on Monday. That representative was not immediately available for comment. No word is out yet on the opening date for the new location.
