Sugar Factory will be bringing its extravagant desserts and celebrity-endorsed Couture Pops to the bustling Harmon Corner with a $1.6 million buildout, permit filings have revealed. The property at 3717 S Las Vegas Blvd #325, once belonging to the Twin Peaks “breastaurant,” will soon have a new occupant.
Tom Recine, Sugar Factory’s Chief Operating Officer, would not immediately comment on the coming renovation when reached by What Now Las Vegas on Monday.
This development will bring Las Vegas’s Sugar Factory count to three; Sugar Factory Fashion Show and The Chocolate Lounge being the brand’s local mainstays. While the Fashion Show store is famed for its celebrity appearances, from Britney Spears to Kim Kardashian, their Chocolate Lounge location also functions as a Chapel for “candy-land”-themed weddings. The theme for the new location is yet to be disclosed.
The opening date for this location is still unknown, and the renovation will require significant demolition. As reported in Eater Las Vegas, the interior demolition is estimated to cost $225,000. This remodel will overhaul the existing layout of Twin Peaks and a complete redesign of the 8,260 square feet space.
The three-story shopping mall, Harmon Retail Corner, first opened in 2012. Since then, it has been home to Bubba Gump Shrimp & Co. and, since 2015, a Rainforest Cafe. This centrally located shopping center is within walking distance of many of the strip’s major hotels, and just across the street from the Bellagio.
