News broke last summer that drive-thru beverage chain Swig was eyeing Las Vegas as part of a large expansive push. But we were left guessing on when and where the brand’s Las Vegas arrival would occur—until now, that is. Permitting paperwork submitted recently to Clark County shows plans for a drive-thru-only Swig location at 2220 E Serene Ave.
“We’re excited about Las Vegas,” Swig President Chase Wardrop told What Now on Tuesday. “That’s one of the markets we’re most bullish on.”
In fact, Wardrop says, the Serene Avenue location is not the only one planned for Vegas. Locations are also planed on Craig Road, Centennial Center Boulevard, and Tropical Parkway. All these are expected to open in October and November of this year.
Swig began when founder Nicole Tanner and her husband started brainstorming business ideas and landed on a drive-thru customizable drink shop. The brand’s Dirty Soda was born, allowing guests to customize fountain drinks with a wide variety of flavors, creams, purees, and fresh fruit. The chain also offers other branded drinks like fruit juice Refreshers and Revivers, Swig’s own energy drinks.
The planned Swig locations, which will be built from the ground up, are drive-thru only with no public seating. In addition to its drinks, the brand also serves a variety of pastries.
To top it off, Wardrop said, still more Vegas locations may also be in the pipeline.
“We’re looking forward to growing in Las Vegas,” Wardrop said.
