The northwest corner of the intersection between West Russell Road and South Fort Apache Road appears to be the future home of Vietnamese restaurant Saigon Corner Restaurant. Licensing paperwork was submitted recently by Pho King Group LLC for Saigon Corner Restaurant at 9450 W Russell Road.

Pho King Vietnamese Kitchen is a popular Vietnamese restaurant offering a number of pho varieties, along with appetizers including fresh spring rolls and Banh Mi with Pork. A source told What Now that Saigon Corner represents the relocation and rebrand of Pho King’s second location, at 5130 S Fort Apache Rd #240, which has closed.

What Now reached out to owner Giang Tran on Thursday to confirm this tip and inquire further about plans for the restaurant. Tran was not immediately available for comment.

For this reason, it remains unclear for the moment whether Saigon Corner will feature the menu served at Pho King 2 or if it is a brand new concept.

Opening at Russell and Fort Apache, Saigon Corner would join restaurants like Thai Express and Landini’s Pizzeria. Stay tuned for more info.
