Freshly-roasted organic coffee and breakfast classics are on their way to Henderson, as the Orange County brand Tru Bru launches their first-ever expansion. Founder Nick Kassouf shared the scoop on what locals can expect to see at 855 Seven Hills Dr.
“Our goal is not to make the coffee shop what we want it to be, but really just adapt to what the community needs,” Kassouf told What Now Las Vegas. “Whether that’s a study space, a meeting space or just friends meeting up for coffee. We’ll see how it plays out and we’ll let it evolve.”
With family in Las Vegas and a business to run in Orange County, Kassouf found himself hopping back and forth across state lines in recent years.
Henderson, he noticed, was the perfect spot for a new specialty coffee shop.
“We’re looking forward to meeting everybody out there,” Kassouf said. “We put people first, and our mission is to create a cafe that feels like an extension of our own home. That’s why we emphasize quality so much. We’re serving what we’d want to have.”
While the menu might look simple at first glance, Tru Bru is on a mission to perfect the classics. This curated collection includes breakfast burritos, sandwiches and french toast, leaving out any trendy brunch gimmicks.
“We’re not really a kind of company that tries to do flashy new things,” Kassouf said. “That’s not really our philosophy. We’d rather put quality and care into the classics. We make a mean latte, great cappuccinos and our chai lattes are also really popular.”
Henderson’s Tru Bru is undergoing some finishing touches and is set to open in March. Once the breakfast and lunch shop is up and running, Kassouf also hopes to incorporate some beer and wine options, similar to those offered at the Orange County cafe. Until then, Henderson can enjoy all of the organic offerings and fresh roasts that Tru Bru has to offer.
