After being purchased by Capriotti’s Sandwich Shops around New Years 2021, Atlanta-born chicken wing franchise Wing Zone is coming to the Las Vegas Valley.
The chain’s first move into the area brings it to North Las Vegas, with a new location set to open in North Mesa Plaza, a shopping center at the intersection of Craig Rd and Martin Luther King Blvd. According to coverage in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the franchise held recently held a job fair to fill about 40 positions at the new location. The grand opening is set for July 11.
“We expect it to take off right away,” Myles Gift, vice president of operations for Wing Zone, is quoted in the Review-Journal. “We’re putting a lot of effort into getting the word out. We have the Capriotti’s name and support and team behind it. We are launching this here in Las Vegas. We’ve got a couple of more (stores) planned this year for Las Vegas with another half dozen or so coming in behind that. We expect to own the market very quickly.”
Wing Zone offers bone-in and boneless wings and chicken tenders, available in familiar combos with fries. Burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and quesadillas are also on offer.
The chain, which currently operates approximately 80 locations in the US, plans to grow to 200 locations by the end of 2025. Several more Las Vegas locations are expected before the end of the year.
