Zippy’s, the hot family-owned Hawaiian restaurant chain, is embarking on opening not one but two new locations in the Valley. According to the Las Vegas Weekly, the Hawaiian comfort-food hot spot is set to open at 10810 West Charleston Boulevard and 5485 Camino Al Norte in North Las Vegas. While no exact opening date has been announced, it is reported that both locations will open in early 2026.
Zippy’s was started in Honolulu in 1966 by the Higa brothers, Francis and Charlie, and quickly became a cultural staple for locals. After decades in Hawaii, Zippy’s opened its first mainland location in Las Vegas in 2023, with more planned for the area.
What Now Las Vegas reached out to CEO Jason Higa to find out more details about the two new additions to the Zippy’s family to come to the Valley, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
There are around 25 Zippy’s locations, primarily in Hawaii, with a recent expansion to three stores in Las Vegas. The chain has been serving up its famous local comfort food like Zip Pacs and chili for more than 58 years. Known for its unique blend of American diner food and Hawaiian plate lunches, Zippy’s combines takeout, sit-down dining, and a bakery. In short, Zippy’s offers a taste of authentic Hawaiian food culture, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a hearty meal.
“Zippy’s says ‘Hawaii’ like no other restaurant on earth. For generations, we’ve been part of the ohana, serving up soul-satisfying local favorites with a side of aloha,” the website reads.
