Zippy’s Restaurants celebrated the grand opening of its Summerlin South location in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Summerlin South restaurant is the second location that Zippy’s has opened outside of Hawaii. The restaurant is located in the southwest area of the city at 4590 S. Hualapai (pronounced WAH-LAH-PIE) Way, between Tropicana Avenue and Flamingo Avenue just off the 215 Beltway and Brent Thurman Way at exit 20. The grand opening celebration included a traditional Hawaiian blessing and the untying of a maile lei by CEO, Jason Higa, as well as an offering of traditional Hawaiian chants and hula, and a Native American performance.
“We are grateful to the Las Vegas community for welcoming us with open arms. Opening in Summerlin South is a testament to Zippy’s continued commitment to the people of Las Vegas, and a reminder of our dedication to share our Hawaii aloha with this city and beyond,” said Belma Soliven, senior regional operations director in a statement. “To many, Zippy’s is more than a restaurant, it’s a place to make memories with friends and family, it’s a place where people meet, gather, do business, and above all it’s a place for many to feel at home.”
To celebrate the restaurant’s grand opening, Zippy’s will discount its popular Korean Fried Chicken and Chili Mixed Plate for one week ($9.99, limited to take-out only. Limit 5 per customer). Guests will have until Monday, March 31st to take advantage of the special offer.
Zippy’s first location in Las Vegas, at Arroyo Crossing, opened in October 2023. The Summerlin South restaurant occupies approximately 6,800 square feet and is structured the same way as many locations in Hawaii with a take-out counter, a dine-in table service restaurant, and a full-line bakery.
