Foot Locker is planning a Las Vegas North Premium Outlets opening. The new Foot Locker is expected to open in the outdoor mall at 875 S. Grand Central Pkwy towards the end of this year, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
Foot Locker is opening alongside a slew of other retail openings this year, including Lucchese, which is slated to make its Nevada debut in the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets this summer.
The new opening for the footwear brand comes as the brand continues to expand its footprint across the globe.
What Now Las Vegas reached out to Foot Locker Senior Vice President of Store Development & Construction, DJ Portanova, to find out more about expansion plans and this exciting new addition to the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets. Unfortunately, we did not hear back from Portanova by the time of this publication.
Founded in 1974, Foot Locker revolutionized the retail industry by taking athletic shoes out of department store basements and into dedicated, specialist sneaker stores. Growing from a single California location into a global empire, the brand is widely recognized for its iconic referee-uniformed employees and deep ties to sneaker culture.
“From the latest trends to exclusive collaborations, our release calendar is your source for the hottest sneaker drops,” the Foot Locker website reads.
The brand’s releases are part of its big draw and continue to help the brand grow. There are now about 2,600 Foot Locker retail stores in 26 countries around the world. Nevada hosts seven of those locations, with five in the Las Vegas Valley.
Foot Locker is anticipated to open in the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets at 875 S. Grand Central Pkwy by the end of this year.
