South Westwind Road, just to the south of Blue Diamond Road in Enterprise, may soon be the home of a new Las Vegas Goodwill location. Permit paperwork recently submitted to Clark County gives a contract valuation of $500,000 for construction work at 8990 S Westwind Rd.

Goodwill’s mission and vision, stated on the brand’s website, is “to reduce the impact of poverty on our community by helping Southern Nevadans obtain local employment and upward mobility,” as way of working toward “a thriving Southern Nevada community where every person who wants to work is employed and able to reach their full potential.”

A fixture throughout the United States, Goodwill is a retail shop that offers a selection of items donated by the community. It is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

The location on South Westwind is part of a largely residential area, with retail shops and restaurants soon appearing as one heads north toward Blue Diamond Road and takes that route northeast, reaching a cluster of eateries like Burger King, Gabi’s Gorditas, and The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill.

The building permit application is for a ground-up build, with 24,864 square feet of space.
