The new headquarters of app-based healthcare company GoodRx in Santa Monica‘s Pen Factory building have been completed, according to an announcement this week from general contractor Clune Construction.

The healthcare company will occupy 76,000 square feet of the building, which once housed the Papermate pen manufacturing facility at 2701 Olympic Boulevard. GoodRx’s new offices include a structural steel library, mezzanine area for group meetings, coffee bar, meditation and yoga facility, and a speakeasy with a restored 100-year-old bar from Scotland, according to Clune’s announcement.

Also involved was project architect RIOS, along with AMA Project Management and ARC Engineering.

“RIOS’ design of GoodRx’s headquarters supports an active workplace with physical distance between programming and departments,” RIOS Creative Director Andy Lantz said in a statement. “Using urban design principals, we prioritized wellness with exterior gardens and interior planters, as well as community and social connection to create a mission-driven experience.”

GoodRx moving in follows developers Clarion Partners and Lincoln Property Company finishing an adaptive reuse project to refresh the property in 2017.

The new tenant space took 22 weeks to build out, according to Clune.

“In the end we delivered a highly collaborative space for GoodRx that was designed and constructed to provide a welcoming atmosphere and countless offerings not common in most office spaces,” Clune Senior Vice President and Project Executive Nhan Nguyen said.
