It looks like Harbor City is getting a new Starbucks at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Frampton Avenue.

The L.A. City Planning Commission recently approved construction of a new 1,200 square-foot Starbucks that will not have indoor or outdoor seating; but it will have a 24-hour single drive-through lane that can accommodate 13 queuing vehicles, as well as a pedestrian walk-up window.

As outlined in the plans, “The proposed coffee shop will cater to professionals and commuters who will be able to purchase quality coffee beverages and other breakfast related items all day and any day…There is consistent strong demand for functional 24 hour establishment in the area and since Pacific Coast Highway is a major corridor with commuters and professionals.”

Los Angeles is one of Starbucks’ largest markets with more than 150 stores. The corporate-owned coffee giant intends to add 17,000 new stores globally by 2030, which would bring its international total to 55,000.
