Strings Ramen’s Beverly Hills location has closed-up shop to “upgrade” to a curry house, according to signage posted on the space’s facade. The restaurant will return later this summer.
Founded by Kenny Yang, Strings Ramen has six east coast locations spread throughout Chicago, Indiana, and Wisconsin. It’s unclear if these outposts will also undergo similar changes.
Voted “Chicago’s best ramen restaurant,” Strings popped up at 255 South Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills in 2021 offering an “inspired ramen experience” with elevated, sophisticated selections and a practical “ramen guide.”
Some menu items include Kuro Buta (seaweed broth with bonito soy sauce, bean sprouts, menma, wood ear mushrooms, pickled ginger, nori, and scallions) and Chazuke (green tea and dashi over rice).
